Effective date: 31 October 2025
Promoter: Hope and Glory Tea “we”, “us”, “our”.
When you buy a qualifying Advent Calendar from us, you may nominate a UK key worker to receive the same Advent Calendar as a free gift. One gift calendar is provided for each qualifying calendar purchased, subject to these Terms and stock availability. No cash alternative.
2.1 The Buy One, Gift One offer applies only to the product identified on the product page as eligible.
2.2 The gift calendar will be the same product type as the one purchased. The tea blends and exact contents may vary by batch.
2.3 The offer runs while promotional stock lasts. We may withdraw or change the offer at any time, without affecting orders already accepted.
2.4 If we are unable to supply a gift calendar, we may offer a suitable substitution of equal or greater value, a deferred delivery, or a refund of the gift element at our discretion.
3.1 Purchasers must be aged 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom.
3.2 The offer is for consumer use only. We may cancel orders that appear to be placed for resale or commercial distribution.
4.1 Eligible recipients include people working in the NHS and healthcare, emergency services, education, social care, local government, registered charities, public transport and other recognised frontline roles.
4.2 Recipients must be UK based.
4.3 You may nominate yourself if you are a key worker and you provide your work details.
5.1 At checkout you will be asked to provide recipient details. Required fields include full name, organisation name, job title or role category, delivery address, and either a work email or other reasonable contact details.
5.2 Workplace delivery is preferred. Home delivery may be accepted if we can reasonably confirm eligibility from the work details provided.
5.3 You confirm that you have permission to share the recipient’s details or another lawful reason to do so for the purpose of sending their gift.
5.4 If the basket contains more than one qualifying calendar, you must complete one nomination per item. Each nomination maps to one gift.
6.1 We may verify eligibility by contacting the recipient or their organisation, by email domain checks, by public staff pages, or by reasonable spot checks.
6.2 We may decline or cancel a nomination that cannot be verified, appears inaccurate, abusive or fraudulent, or breaches these Terms.
6.3 If verification fails, we will contact you to correct details. If we cannot verify within 7 days of our first contact, we may allow you to nominate someone else or we may redirect the gift to a partner distribution list of key workers.
6.4 We may set reasonable limits per customer or per address to prevent abuse. Duplicate nominations to the same personal address may be reviewed.
7.1 Your order is accepted when we email an order confirmation. Payment is taken at checkout. Prices include VAT where applicable.
7.2 We take care to ensure prices and information are accurate. In case of obvious error we may cancel and refund before dispatch.
8.1 We deliver purchased calendars to the delivery address you provide and deliver gift calendars to the nominated recipient. We use standard UK carriers.
8.2 We publish seasonal order cut-offs to help gifts arrive during Advent. These are guidance only. Weather, carrier capacity and events outside our control may cause delays.
8.3 Ownership and risk for your purchased calendar pass on delivery to you. Ownership and risk for each gift calendar pass on delivery to the recipient.
9.1 You may include a short gift message. We may refuse or edit messages that are unlawful, offensive, discriminatory, promotional, or that include personal data we do not need to deliver the gift.
9.2 You must not misuse the offer, including by submitting false details, attempting to obtain multiple gifts improperly, or harassing recipients or their employers.
10.1 Your statutory rights are not affected.
10.2 Your own purchase: if you are a consumer you may have a right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Please see our Returns and Refunds Policy for the process, time limits and exclusions. Items must be returned unopened and in a resalable condition.
10.3 Gift calendars: as the gift is provided to the recipient, we do not accept returns from the recipient. If you exercise your right to cancel your own purchase before dispatch, the gift will be cancelled. If you return your own purchase after dispatch under a statutory right, we may charge or deduct the value of the gift if it has already been delivered and cannot be recovered, unless the return is due to our fault.
10.4 Faulty or misdescribed items: please contact us. We will repair, replace or refund in line with consumer law.
11.1 Ingredients and allergens are listed on the individual envelopes or product packaging. Always check the label before use.
11.2 Tea blends may vary by batch. If a recipient has specific dietary needs, please advise them to review the packaging on receipt.
12.1 We will use purchaser and recipient data only as necessary to process the order, verify eligibility, deliver the gifts and handle service communications.
12.2 Our lawful basis includes performance of a contract for your purchase and our legitimate interests for reasonable verification and fair distribution. We document a balancing test.
12.3 We keep nomination details for the Advent period and a reasonable retention period for compliance, then minimise or delete.
12.4 Marketing communications to the purchaser or recipient will only be sent if they opt in.
12.5 Please see our Privacy Notice for full details, including your rights, how to contact our Data Protection contact and how to complain to the ICO.
13.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under law.
13.2 Subject to 13.1, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any loss arising from or in connection with the offer or a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the qualifying product.
13.3 We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our control, including severe weather, strikes, carrier issues or supply chain disruption.
We may suspend or cancel the offer for a customer if we suspect abuse, fraud, breach of these Terms, or misuse of personal data. We may suspend or end the offer generally where we cannot run it safely or fairly.

If you have a complaint, contact us first so we can help. If we cannot resolve it, you may use an alternative dispute resolution provider or the ODR platform, where applicable.
